Large & Dark Areolae Gallery

  

 

When a woman becomes pregnant, or when she induces lactation on her own initiative, and her breasts start getting ready to lactate, they will usually show some visual changes. One of the more obvious changes that someone may notice is the rapid increase in the size of the breasts (by one or two cup-sizes). Other changes may include an increase in the diameter of the areolae and nipples, and they may also darken in pigmentation. Some women will darken more than others, depending upon their family's racial origins and genetic code.  Breast size plays no part of this change in pigmentation (coloring).

Women have been concerned about those changes, sometimes alarmed from how large or dark their areolae and nipples have become.
